Great customer service, very fast responses to questions. Fan works well, but solar panel placement is key. Mine mounted to southern facing slope roof so will still catch full summer sun and winter sun here in southern cal. I asked for thermostat and sent to me quickly. Screws were to mount solar panel to roof mounts only, no screws for mounting panel to roof or fan to studs. #8 1-1/4” self drilling screws with #10 washers was only a couple bucks at home depot. I could have hammered two more 2x4 wood pieces but thought the two screws were sturdy enough for the fan mount. The fan spins well and strong between 10-3 and is less strong before and after these times. Two wire install, so easy hookup. 2nd heatwave this end of summer but def feel like it cooled house. It still doesnt replace air cond but it does help at least for my house.

Have three of these in my 8'x4', 300bf capacity, solar kiln, works good for this purpose. I've heard more airflow would be better, but I find my kiln dries lumber just fine with the three of these. Have had these a years or two now and have had no issues with them. Great fans for the money, very happy with my purchase!

Fan is excellent. Customer service was great, they answered the phone immediately. We installed the fan where we already had a vent. We didn't use the switch but instead wired in a thermostat that would be used in an attic. It comes on at 80°. Very happy with the product and customer service.

This fan replaced an old, existing unit (larger) that had been mounted in a garage loft back in the 1970's- and was never wired in! Between the rodent activity and corrosion, it was in need of a sensible replacement. The Amtrak Fan required my building a panel for adapting the difference in size (smaller). But later w/the fan mounted on the panel,and mounted securely in place,it was simple to run the wiring/switch.The Panel was very simple to install on the roof as well, the basic thing in all is not rushing the job.The speed varies on the amount of sunlight but even in lower light conditions, it still pulls air! So far it has worked perfectly, and I have already recommendedthis fan to several friends and customers at my place of business. Good Product at a fair price!
